Pamela

Client Need: Pamela

Pamela is a thirty years old, single mother of one son, who lives in, Rex Georgia. Pamela contacted H.O.P.E. Inc. with hopes of getting childcare assistance while she completed her college degree.

Background

As a young single parent, Pamela struggled to cover her childcare expenses every month.

Client Situation

Pamela contacted H.O.P.E. Inc. when she realized that she was going to need assistance with childcare if she was going to complete her Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies and a Minor in Education. She was working as a teacher’s assistant making under $25,000 a year. She knew that if she wanted to be financially stable in the future, she had to go to college and get her degree.

Action

H.O.P.E. Inc. provided Pamela with $200 a month in childcare assistance to help her stay in school. As a result, Pamela graduated in May of 2018, and was promoted to a leadership teaching position after her graduation. She owns her own home, and plans for her and her son’s future. Pamela is now a part of the H.O.P.E, Inc. Pay It Forward graduate program and gives back to single parents that were in her shoes as a monthly donor.
