Client Need: Nicole (As Shown On The Left)

Nicole, a forty-year-old single mother of three in Austell, Georgia contacted H.O.P.E. Inc. for rent assistance when she found herself facing foreclosure alone, with her family in another state, and half way through with her Dental Hygiene Program at Fortis College.

Background

Nicole is a single mother of three children.

Client Situation

Nicole contacted H.O.P.E, Inc. at the suggestion of her school program director. She was afraid that she would have to drop out of school due to extreme financial circumstances she encountered when her fiancé walked out on her and her three children. Being a full-time student, it was almost impossible to find a job that would work around her programs clinical schedule. The decreased hours left her with very limited income, and her mortgage unpaid for months. It all began to take a toll on her.

Action

H.O.P.E. Inc.’s agreed to assist Antesha with $250 a month in rent assistance and $85 a month in childcare assistance. With the consistent financial support, Antesha was able to get back on track. She was able to start saving and learn how to manage her money better through H.O.P.E.’s Financial Training Program. She was able to receive free counseling and other support during the school year and holiday. Her children also benefited for the H.O.P.E, Inc. program having received grants for summer camps.
